Manobadhikar, English name “Bangladesh Society for the Enforcement of Human Rights – BSEHR, is the first organization in Bangladesh, established in 10 December 1977, to work on establishing and to protecting Human Rights affairs. Manobadhikar believes that the human-rights are the basic elements of human development as well as social and economic development of a country. Manobadhika (BSEHR) recognizes the adequacy of these laws in the Constitution and at the same time is convinced that due to the lack of proper enforcement the laws have been rendered ineffectual. The key root causes of violation of human rights are the lack of knowledge and voice of the people and poor governance practices in the government agencies. For development of the country through enforcement and promotion of Human Rights, the Manobadhika wants to be a force and partner of choice in movement dedicate to promoting the administration of justice, the Rule of Law and to secure legal guarantees for basic Human Rights in Bangladesh.
